The Wizard's Baker

We are donating 10% of our net proceeds to Remote Area Medical , a non-profit organization that brings medical care to people in need.  This is really a great orgainzation, and we are really excited to be supporting them.

Remote Area Medical (RAM) is a non-profit organization that brings medical care to needy people all over the world.  Originally it was founded to help people who could not reach medical care in remote places like the Amazon, but now they have been serving a need right here at home in the US.  About 60% of their expeditions are now carried out in the United States.

They operate on only a budget of about $250,000 a year that comes entirely from individual donations, and they are able to care for about 17,000 people every year.  My family has struggled with Health insurance and health problems so I was really moved by this program and wanted to contribute.  I don't have a lot to give but figured if I give a small amount of every sale we make at the Wizard's Baker, it could make a big impact.  We will set aside 10% of the net proceeds of each sale and send that money to RAM at the end of each month.  I encourage you to watch the video and visit their site (www.ramusa.org ) to learn more.
